Born in 1980 in Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture.
His parents are ceramic artists.
At the age of 19, he left university and pursued a career in manga editing. In 2006, he joined Kadokawa Shoten (now KADOKAWA) and was assigned to the Asuka editorial department, where he continues to work today.
Notable works he has overseen include Samurai Drive, Aria in the Beech Forest, Monster Girl Illustrated Book, and Gekkakoku Kiiden.
His recent hobby is birdwatching.
