Sakura Hoshino – Profile
Editor-in-Chief, Young King OURs Magazine (Shonen Gahosha)
Sakura is the Editor-in-Chief of the Young King OURs editorial department at Shonen Gahosha. She has spearheaded the development of numerous titles that have successfully made the leap to the screen as anime, including Me and the Alien MuMu and Yuji Shiozaki’s Shin Ikki Tousen.
When she’s not busy at the office, Sakura is a keen maker, often found tinkering with her 3D printer or heading out for a dive to enjoy the underwater world.
Hiroki Miyashita – Profile
Originally from Ishikawa Prefecture, Hiroki first made his mark in the industry in 2002 when he was named a runner-up (Highly Commended) for the 8th Shogakukan Sunday GX Newcomer Award. He made his professional debut in 2004, and his popularity reached new heights in 2025 when his work, Me and the Alien MuMu, was adapted into a TV anime series.
He is currently flat out serialising his latest hit, Yakuza Reincarnation: Yakuza Princess of Another World, in Shogakukan’s Sunday GX. Hiroki’s journey began when he moved up to Tokyo for uni, determined to become a mangaka. He successfully balanced his studies while cutting his teeth as an assistant for professional artists before striking out on his own.
A long-time pottery enthusiast since his student days, Hiroki now reckons there’s no better way to clear his head than heading out on a road trip with his family.
