Japan Fiesta Volunteer Registration Information

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help out with Japan Fiesta 2026.

Volunteer requirements:

Must be 16+ or have parent/guardian permission.

Someone who arrives on time and is responsible. 

*If you arrive late, either the day before or on the day of the event, there may be no work available for you. Please make sure to be on time.

Role 1:

6th March, Friday (event preparation)

Please work according to the instructions of the volunteer leader of each department.

Please help us set up indoors and outdoors for up to 3 hours between 8am and 6pm.

You may be asked to work for more than three hours on an individual basis.

A fully charged mobile phone is required to communicate with committee members and volunteer leaders.

As a token of our appreciation, you will receive:

- Volunteer day snack and drink (for workers over 3 hours only)

- Reference letter from Japan Fiesta NZ Committee Chairperson (for those who wish)

- Additional benefits are available for those who work more than three hours.

Role 2:

7th March, Saturday (Event Day)

We are looking for volunteers who can help with various activities, as assigned at our discretion. 

Please work according to the instructions of the volunteer leader of each department.

A fully charged mobile phone is required to communicate with committee members and volunteer leaders.

Please wear comfortable, clean clothes.

Duties include tasks such as:

• Assist in checking valid admission tickets and stamping the hand or arm upon verification. The stamp will be a pass for those who re-enter.

• Check valid passes for entrants at some doors

• Help with event floor management

• Stage assistant

• Cleanup and clearing crew

• Traffic control assistance

• Other miscellaneous activities

Must be available for at least four hours between 8am and 7pm, as assigned at our discretion. Volunteers who may be asked to work six hours or more are assigned shifts to ensure they have plenty of rest and enjoy the event. If you require a break at a specific time, please provide details of this on your application.

As a token of our appreciation, you will receive:

- Free entry to Japan Fiesta 2026 Club Stand Building

- Volunteer day snack and drink (for workers over 4 hours only)

- Volunteer Certificate from Japan Fiesta NZ Committee Chairperson (for those who wish)

- Additional benefits are available to those working more than six hours.

- A valuable souvenir? 

Role 3:

Promotional activities (distribution and posting of promotional materials)

As a token of our appreciation, you will receive:

- Free entry to Japan Fiesta 2026 Club Stand Building  (Only those who meet the conditions)

- Volunteer Certificate from Japan Fiesta NZ Committee Chairperson (for those who wish)

- A valuable souvenir?
